SCAHOF Induction Ceremony & Banquet to air statewide on Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network

If you missed the 64th Annual South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Banquet last month, you'll have another opportunity to watch it on television.

The Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network will televise the event statewide on Sunday, June 21, at 8 p.m. Palmetto Sports & Entertainment is available free over the air in Columbia (WIS 10.4 / WPAM 18.1 / WTES 16.2), Greenville (WHNS 21.2), Charleston (WZCH 35.3), and Myrtle Beach (WMBF 32.3). It is also carried by select cable providers. Viewers are encouraged to check local listings for availability.

“This is exactly the kind of celebration of local sports that we envisioned when we launched Palmetto Sports & Entertainment,” said WIS Vice President and General Manager Robby Thomas. “This partnership with the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame is a perfect fit, and we're delighted to help share the stories of these deserving honorees.”

Enshrined on May 18 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center were Brian Barnes (Clemson baseball, MLB), Tim Bourret (Clemson administrator and broadcaster), Amber Campbell-Moore (Coastal Carolina track & field, Olympian), Jim Davis (Clemson women's basketball coach), Armanti Edwards (Greenwood, Appalachian State football, NFL), Dwayne Harper (Orangeburg, South Carolina State football, NFL), Andrew Provence (South Carolina football, NFL), Saudia Roundtree (Anderson, Georgia basketball, ABL), and Steve Spurrier (South Carolina football coach). Bob Jenkins (Rock Hill, cross-country advocate) was enshrined posthumously.

“We are thrilled to have our event aired on Palmetto Sports & Entertainment’s statewide affiliates,” said South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame Executive Director Andy Solomon. “We want sports fans across the state to learn more about our Hall of Fame and, especially, our most recent inductees. This year’s event was our largest ever, with 978 attendees, and we’re excited to build on that success by bringing the ceremony to viewers throughout the Palmetto State.”

Several individuals were also recognized with special awards during the ceremony. NFL official Rick Patterson of Gaffney received the prestigious Felix “Doc” Blanchard Citizen for Sports Award. Executive Beth Bass of Hartsville was honored with the Willie Jeffries Ambassador for Sports Award. Sumter’s Wallie Jones received the Bobby Richardson Sportsmanship Award, while Columbia sports radio personality Teddy Heffner was presented the Herman Helms Excellence in Media Award. Tony Ciuffo, originally from Charleston, was honored with the Dom Fusci Leadership in Action Award.

With the addition of the 2025 induction class, the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame now includes 388 members.

Viewers will also see Hall of Fame coach Willie Jeffries serve as master of ceremonies, Bobby Richardson deliver the invocation, and Mark Bryan, lead guitarist for Hootie & the Blowfish, perform the National Anthem. Music for the event was provided by Dick Goodwin Music, and the production was directed by Rich Wandover.
